On passenger list the next of kin was given as Mother-Mrs E Nye, The Furges, Ticewell, Kent, destination National Children's Home, Hamilton, Ont, intended occupation-farming, birth place given as Linton. It is possible the The Furges could have been Fuze House, the workhouse in Ticewell but not known for sure

His mother was Emily Rose Alice Weller & his father John William Nye. Fred was one of 10 possibly 12 children.
